There aren't a lot of movies out there that will make you laugh (like, really laugh, out loud) and cry (like weep and sob). This one makes me do both, and it does it every single time I watch it. That was what made me pick it.

Yeah; one of the most complete and emotional cinema experiences I can remember.

I want to describe it as human but 'humans' are often so banal...

Book: Complete works of Shakespeare, not sure what edition. Preferably one similar to the Penguin Classics series, with really nicely-done footnotes and great essays.
Disc: Fear Of A Black Planet - Public Enemy. It's still revealing itself to me after all these years, and maybe with all this time on my hands, I'll finally get to the bottom.
Painting: A specially-commisioned piece by On Takawa made of the day I was stranded.
Meal: Indian
Movie: Tribulations 99 by Craig Baldwin. Similar to the Public Enemy aesthetic, there's plenty there to keep me entertained.
