Initially I thought the $250 Tube Screamer was a sign EQD had jumped the shark, but this thing sounds alright. It's for the Tone Lawyer crowd, but whatever, Jamie's paid his dues.As far as interesting, I'd nominate the rash of versions of the Big Muff that have come out over the past ten years. It's like a Big Muff, but with mids and more articulate, blah blah; in other words, it's not a Big Muff any more. (EHX has apparently put out their own modded Big Muff just recently with all the bells and whistles.)

Obviously, we have a "What Gear Do You Want Right Now..." thread. It seems like it might be worth having a thread for gear that's interesting but not on the "I need it right now!" level.Kicking things off -phpBB [media]While the Tube Screamer isn't always my thing, it is crazy to think that someone took it this far out.

It's no suprise that EHX would follow suit, in order to remain relevant in the market place. They did the same thing changing the polarity & boss type ac inputs and smaller enclosures.

EHX regularly comes up with both interesting and dumb stuff. I think it's always been that way. I also think most of the EQD line up is interesting. Don't give a shit about this new circuit but I like multiple drive option pedals. I usually just get a few pedals that will make the core of my sound ind it is cool get double duty out of a single overdrive.

Seems to address everything I thought was a limitation about the original. Shit.

I still love my Disaster Transport.
