I saw the new "reunion" Don Cab play at cbgb's a few weeks ago. Disappointingly, it was crap. Also, I'm not a big fan of 'American Don'. However, 'What Burns Never Returns' is one of my all time favorite albums, so
not crap.

i didnt bother going to see the 'reunited' don cab so i cant comment on that, however, the rest of the catalog is solid in my book, including american don...

Don Cab II alone makes for NOT CRAP, even with bizarre reuniting rituals.
That LP used to scare children.

The majority of the band cannot be blamed for the bizarre reunion. That new incarnation is not Don Caballero.

What's deal with the new shows? I heard it's only the drummer with all new other guys?

This begs the question "What is Don Caballero?" I believe Damon Che is the only member of the band who has been constant throughout its history, even before this 'reunion' tour, so who's to say he can't get new guys and go on the road as Don Caballero again?
