I'm considering to buy tascam 38. Also getting it calibrated. At the moment I don't know exact price yet. I'm kind of waiting all facts before valueing it. This unit is used and it has been in a shop with out use many years. Is there some must reapairs I should know? what might change the price.. (I don't konw something) what should work and what to expect not to? I guess this salesman wants a price what was years ago. What kind of value would you see? or know current price? Of course it's priceless.. it's analog 8 track tape recorder I wonder how fragile tape is to magnetism. My playing space is 4m x 4m and there are bass cabinets guitar cabinets studio monitors and PA Is there a rule for distance of taperecorder and monitors example? Can I get a way with it by arraging my speakers maby 1 meter or so? There is possibility to change to other studio space later. If tascam 38 is worth saving... I haven't heard really bad word about it. I would aprecciate alot of your thoughts about it. - mikko
