Scumma Do Mar - S/T

One of my very first clients; and my first start-to-finish record as tracking engineer, mixing engineer and (sadly) mastering engineer.

They're a great live playing band and the record tries to evoke the experience of one of the few lives they made (here in Naples, Italy), even if the possibility to capture a live session wasn't there due to the lack of "big and actually nice rooms" studios around here.

I'd love to share them and their music to you and if some recording or mixing nerd is in the mood for a feedback, that'd make my day.

Thank you for reading!

This is VERY much not my type of music as far as my taste goes, but it sounds really natural and roomy for the genre, I've had far worse luck trying to record this kind of band in the past, great job. Really good balance in the bass sound ("body" vs string sound), and good job getting the kick drum to remain defined and separated from the bass during the fast bits. I think it was finely done. It sounds like the band's playing and instrument tones helped, too.

Also, the bandcamp player:

Most of what I've worked on
