I’ve never been good at them. My girlfriend has been asking me why I don’t have a name for her, and I don’t know what to tell her. She calls me baby, bb, and a whole bunch of other things I’d rather not make public.
Why can’t I make my mouth say honey or precious or sweetie pie? I’ve never had a pet name for any of my past relationships.
Throw me some good terms of endearment, and I’ll say them out loud to see if it feels right.
Re: Terms of Endearment
2my wife and I generally use "Momma" and "Poppa", but that only really works when you're parents. An easy default is "love" or "my love" or "lovee", all 3 of which we also use and they don't sound cloying to my ears. Most other pet names do sound kinda foolish or juvenile, so I feel a bit of your pain. Maybe some sort of original play on their name? I've never been good at this either...

The most endearing way I say my wife's and daughters' names is by shortening them. Lisa becomes "Lees"; Ella becomes "El" or "E"; Holly becomes "Hol" or "H".

4Call her baby then. Or darling, or coochie-coo. I don't think you need to be creative. Long as it feels right. Or maybe that was the issue?
Dunno me and my ex had a few but I couldn't translate them. Maybe do something with her name?

6Bro, Bruh, and Dude are ToE's in my house. Babe and sweetheart are occasional throw ins.
I am the only male in my home. My oldest occasionally calls me Fatherman. Like Superman, but with father at the beginning.

9The wifey trotted out the endearing, "HEY FARTFACE" at me yesterday.
She's a treasure.
