I used to have a pair that I used mainly as room mics for drums, their appeal at the time was that I got them cheap. I wouldn't pay more than $30 apiece for them, but they perform their job well enough. They even run on a battery if phantom power isn't available. The sound seemed acceptable, but that was a long time ago and my standards were a bit less formed. Good cheap starter cardioid condenser mics, if you just need "more mics" as opposed to "better mics".
