The Depot American Diner
5840 W. Roosevelt
Some of the best diner food in Chicago. Everything is homemade. Great soups, pot roast sandwiches, blue plate specials, phosphates, egg creams and biscuits and gravy on the weekends.

33One I forgot about, Cafe 28 on Irving Park Rd. near the el tracks, is really fantastic. Cuban/Mexican/Latin cuisine. Excellent drinks also.
A couple more good Cuban restaurants are Cuban Island and Rancho Luna, both within a block or so of each other on Peterson Ave.
Cafe Bolero on Western, south of Fullerton, is good also. But Cafe 28 is the best of the lot.

40For Middle Eastern, Sultan's Market's chicken schwarma(sp) is better than any I ever had in the Middle East.
