awesome bass line-starting Albums

two of my favorite records start off with woman bass players:
1. Black Flag - Slip It In. Okay, the title track is cool until the singing/lyrics start. Kira was awesome. This is to me, the best sounding Black Flag record they did. Kira also starts off "The Bars".
2. Melvins - Ozma. The sound that opens up the record is Lori Black standing on her tippy toes to turn on her double Ampeg cabinets with two heads gear. It is her gear warming up. I have seen her do this quite a few times when I used to hang out with them in S.F. The visual impact of this very tiny woman turning on this massive stack of gear was very impressive.

Does anybody remember "The Goats"? They were a Rap act that kinda dissolved in the mid 90's. They had a great song called "Not Your Typical American" that has an excellent bass intro. If you like references to Bush Sr., David Duke, and "Jack in the Box", then try to find their album "Tricks of the Shade". It's out of print, but you can download it somewhere.

uncanny. This is the second 'goats' reference I've read here today, one was in one of those PE threads. "Tricks of the Shade" was great, but in hindsight, it doesn't hold up as much as the chicken little skits do.
