Sex and DnD were always pretty much mutually exclusive for me. Never had a girlfriend who would be interested in playing. Always a bunch of dudes. There were times when me and my pre-to-early-pubescent friends and I would watch scrambled Playboy TV after playing DnD, all in the hopes of catching a glipse of a breast. And the one time my one friend tried to make a sex role playing game. He let us have weapons like the dick knife, and then someone went into a room and had sex with a girl (in the game, not in real life. Things like that wouldn't happen until a long while later) and had to roll to see if the got AIDS. It was one of the stupidest things ever, even when I was 12.

who said anything about doritos and mountain dew? that's sounds gross. i'm talking about a home-cooked meal with wine and fresh fruit and cheese plates. then toke on a little bud, sit back, relax and enjoy a little fantasy campaign with friends.

if it's doritos and mountain dew (and frozen pizza, duh) that sounds dope. wine and cheese, that kinda puts me off. makes it sound like it's gonna be all thespian and stuff.

all my experience (nyuk nyuk) is with AD&D 2nd Edition. I still have all my books. And I actually have a 3rd Edition book, either the Player's Handbook or the DM's Guide, I forget which, that I was given as a gift a few years ago.

I would seriously love to do this, provided that Bolt Thrower is played at least every two or three sessions. Also, I don't know how to find the time. That's the only issue for me, really. That and that wine and cheese where they don't belong. Beers and pizza. Mountain Dew and Doritos. And more pizza. This is the way.

little known trivia : I have a d20 in my pocket pretty much all of the time.

Stephen Hawking: "Great. The entire universe was destroyed."

Fry: "Destroyed? Then where are we now?"

Al Gore: "I don't know. But I can darn well tell you where we're not: The universe!"

Nichelle Nichols: *sigh* "Eternity with nerds. It's the Pasadena Star Trek convention all over again."

Gary Gygax: "Anyone wanna play Dungeons & Dragons for the next quadrillion years?"

It's fun to fantasize about having sex isn't it. Oh wait, that's not the type role playing you're talking about. Of course you know Necromancers get more play. Right? Oh my deeply aching balls (I think they're shriveling as I type).

There also a rust monster in one episode. And in another, when they're breaking the professor out of the retirement planet, a beholder is one of the guards. And there's the Simpsons when Homer goes to college and says:

Homer wrote:We played Dungeons and Dragons for three hours! Then I was slain by an elf.

I figure getting together once or twice a month would be easily sustainable. This would only work on Friday or Saturday nights (or holiday weekdays). I generally try to stay in on Friday nights anyway.

So, we got Scott, H-GM, El Protoolio and spoon. One more and we could have some serious campaigning, 'cept for the fact that none of us are probably DM's. That'll be the hard part.

Nah, not that hard. I DM-ed often. I just haven't in about 2 years. We have a group that trade DM-ing duties between 3 people so I have been on furlough.

I am not able to do Fridays but Saturdays would work.

We should do an introductory drink fest at someone's favourite watering hole.
Then we should get a drink fest as we make up characters and discuss the nature of the campaign everyone would like to play.

That would allow me to get to know you all a bit better. Internet personality is one thing...

Cheers,
David

Sometimes a mellow character roling up session can be cool for this...
