i bought maybe six new records this year (and liked three of them), but i will stick my neck out for the new fall record, their best since 1988 or so. also, the sightings album, already much acclaimed and ok'd on this board.

I haven't picked up a lot from 2004, but the best for me was probably Shannon Wright's new one, "Over the Sun." Some of the guitar sounds are so good on that record I could kiss them. Or eat them.

I had really high hopes for Pinback's "Summer in Abaddon", but it has been just okay overall.

I don't know how I forgot this one. Good god, what a great record that is. I just got the 10" single for "The Black Meat" a week or two ago, and hope that Bark Psychosis continue to make music for some time to come.
