Love family guy to bits but 2nd half of season 4 (or season five as it is know here) was a little under par. Far too many of those "it's worse than that time I slept with Rob Reiner" type flash backs which started to get on my wick after a while.

It's mainly Stewie and Brian though.

Family Guy would have been sweet if it had never come back. Since no one gave a shit about it during its original run, the egomania and self-love hidden beneath the surface of this program would not have revealed itself.

When it came back, it was endlessly (and undeservingly/unnervingly) self-referential and played up the "ADD" television aspect way too much. Chris shows up in that A-ha video...har har har...I know the video, this makes it funny...but way too much of that crap is just boring and extremely lazy.

Also, they've blatantly ripped off the Simpsons so many times that it's really difficult to forgive the creators now that every dumb motherfucker on the planet loves this show. CRAP.

Family Guy did an hour long special last night where they basically spoofed the entire Star Wars movie. It was fucking great!

boring and uneventful... can it go through an episode without about 30 flashbacks??? Futurama beats this by far...

obnoxious as fuck same kind of humor repeated and splashed out through every possible scenario.

Futurama does beat its ass as does many other shows, futurama had something good though and needs to be brought back.

There's a lot more material with the characters, and setting in futurama to explore and its a shame it was cut short and now has less popularity than shows like simpsons and family guy.

Not bashing Simpsons, a definite classic but i do feel its been overdone by now.

basically it'll be back for about 4 hours of fun and then taken away again
