I went there recently when I had a fit of buying Zeppelin and Ozzy on vinyl.

I really love the Record Exchange--it's huge, orderly, clean, and friendly, a converted library full of great LP's. Vintage Vinyl has been pretty hit or miss for me.

Euclid Records way out Big Bend is good, too.

My comments refer solely to used vinyl. I never look at CD's in stores.

Interestingly, the interviews I've read say that the store was doing OK up until just 3-4 years ago.

i've grown to really, really hate Vintage Vinyl.

I dig Euclid records a lot.

Apop is okay, but i always get a weird i'm-not-cool-enough-to-shop-there vibe while i'm there.

Record Exchange can be the source of great finds if you don't mind sifting through the miles of crap.
