I have to spend Thanksgiving weekend in St. Louis.
I plan on giving thanks to whoever it is we're supposed to be thanking by doing some record shopping.
I know nothing of St. Louis. Can any of you who live there help?
Only looking for new and used vinyl.
Also, we're flying there so I probably won't have access to a car. Is there decent public transit?
Record stores in St. Louis?
2You can take light rail from the airport to the Delmar Loop, walk a few blocks up Delmar and hit Vintage Vinyl. It's a big store with decent selection of both new and used records, and regular in-store performances. The neighborhood has plenty of good places to eat, especially if you like Thai food.

5Record Exchange, Apop, and the aforementioned Vintage Vinyl are probably your best bets.

6Vintage Vinyl always seems to make my wallet at least $100 lighter every time I'm in St. Louis. Great store.

8Is there still a Vintage V. in Granite City?
I spent many many hours there.

Yeah, still there. It moved a few stores down within that same plaza about five or so years ago. It's nowhere near as good anymore. They completely cut back their vinyl selection, with the 7"s taking the biggest hit. They may have stopped carrying them completely. The heyday of awesome and hard-to-find music bursting out of the shelves has long since passed. With no more Darin at the helm, the selection has gotten pretty bland.

10Record Exchange on Hampton is good, and frequently overlooked,- if you like used.
I've found lots of weird stuff there over the years.
