i do this daily while walking to work (at a bookshop). granted, i live on a side road that sees little traffic and have the option of taking a trail almost all the way to the shop's doorstep instead of a main road.

i'm sure i look like a real pompous dick to people passing me in their pick up trucks, but the twenty minute walk is much more enjoyable when engrossed in some literature.

people are free to do this if they decide it's a good idea.

just like i have the freedom to slap them in the face while they wouldn't see it coming.

Reading and walking is a dumb thing to do. Reading and anything but sitting is pretty stupid period.
