You know, hearing someone talk about your music and whatnot...especially people that are knowledgable and you respect their opinion. Salut!
Anyway, what I wanna address is the fact a certain well respected top level poster tells me 'That new Beastqueef band you have going sounds a lot like Polvo in certain places'

With all due respect, my fucking ass it does.

I agree. Also, you need to recruit Randall and Bogdan and make it a real band. Turn those boys into real men!

I don't know about the real men thing, but I will be jamming with both those gents very soon, hopefully. Solid guys, both of them.
Col Panic and I had a little acoustic jam session the other day as well, as soon as we electrify it we are on the right track from the sound of it. I hear ERawk can play a mean flute as well. I bet a flute through a shitload of distortion and echo would sound pretty fucking cool.

I had two of my friends over last night, they are both drummers. We recorded some shit, gonna go mix it tonight. All three of us playing drums, then I added some guitar and vocals over it. I think maybe it sounded cool, we'll see.

Make no mistake about it, Beastqueef is rising.

I don't mean to keep posting everytime I record new shit, which is every day, but this new song I am curious to see what people think. I will wait awhile till I post in this thread again, I just get too excited, I appologize.

It's 3 drummers, a drum machine and me playing a baritone guitar and singing.

It was a bitch to record and mix but I think I have it just fucked up enough sounding for my tastes.

It's the one called 'Should have said fuck it. The full version is like 35 minutes long, this is the radio edit right here.

Marsupialized keeps posting his noisy stuff, but the stuff I prefer(outside of our band of course) is his Electronic work. He doesn't talk about it, nor does he put a link up in his signature. I think he doesn't remember recording much of it. You will find it here:

I Can't Breath I'm Serious.

Now Marsup... now all your music is out there. Take a break from recording and give the rest of us a chance!

i've resisted putting up anything of mine for a multitude of reasons - mainly though, my stuff i decidedly more sugary than anything EVER presented here, and i don't really like to pollute.

but anyhoo, i'm doing something new that i'm looking for feedback on. i'm doing a podcast whilst recording my third cd. so instead of some monotonous "blog" about spending a few hours getting bass tones, i actually play examples of getting said tones. and i play mixes as i make them and talk about songwriting... you get the drift.

but i was wondering if anyone could check it out!?!? it's either an mp3 from my site or available in the itunes store. and if anyone goes to itunes, i'll beg for you to post a good review for me. i'll send you candy or do a similar favour... anything!

i just think it's a cool idea, and i've never heard anything like it before (though i may have missed something) so i hope it strikes a chord.

thanks for listening, and thanks for all who post great music here!

Nowhere near fucked-up enough for the way it's presented on the Myspace page.
