I love the eastern tone of some of the Dream Contacts. My 17 broke after six months of very hard use and I replaced it with some ordinary Wuhan 17 crash, which isn't as nice, but I'm very surprised by its usability as an accent cymbal. The tone is awesome... I just wish its volume and projection were better.

I'm hopefully gonna get a chance to go cymbal shopping, looking to see if I can pick up a second-hand ride and hi-hats. I know absolutely nothing about any brand except for Zildjian, are there any other specific cymbals or series I should be on the lookout for?I'm a pretty hard hitter, the band I'm playing in doesn't call for much in the way of subtlety. Ideally I'd get a 21 Sweet Ride and 14 Rock or New Beat Hats if that's any guide, so if there's anything similar to that from Paiste/Sabian/etc I should keep an eye out for. Heck, feel free to suggest Zildjians as well, it's been a long time since I've even looked at cymbals.

just to chime in with not particularly useful information, I'm loving the shit out of the Bosphorus cymbals I bought recently.these are mainly from the Stanton Moore signature line, plus a New Orleans crash. I love my Giant Beats, but they were just too loud for my current kit/project/what have you.Cool to have a ride with a bit of ping to it, too.
