S: The game was played over two legs, with the first leg being a 2-1 victory to Liverpool, so 0-0 saw them going through. However, had Juve won the second leg 1-0, they would have won the game 2-2, as they scored one goal away from home. So, yeah, you're right.

S/WM: I didn't watch it, as I was at a gig, but by all reports, it was an awesome game. Scoreless draw can be tremendous. 7-1 victories can be boring. That's the wonder of the greatest, and most popular, team sport on planet Earth.

As far as stateside violence, try wearing a washington redskins jearsey to a philadelphia eagles game in philly..you might get some action.

and as far as soccer in the US, if we didn't have to watch crap MSL, the retirment league for every international hasbeen, and had cheap access to the english, spanish and italian leagues there might be a bit more support.

but those espn and sports page junkies holding on to the dying sham of the NFL with its coaching by committee and computers and hyper specialized atheletes and games that stop every 15seconds...anyway watch a rugby game to see what the NFL is missing. anyway....
