Hosted by socialist stand-up comics (not just podcast comedians a la Chapo), and it's great.I checked this out because I like Flores and while I'm not totally sold on it, I'm warm to it. I need another podcast made up of crosstalking dudes like I need another podcast made up of crosstalking dudes, but they've had a lot of women on the show. I'm into the Luisa Diez apperances and I checked out the best-of episode and loved the Jamie Peck clip, so I checked out the Antifada podcast. The episode I chose started with a bunch of talk about moving into a new place in Brooklyn and I kept trying to imagine a scenario in which I gave less of a shit, but couldn't. I may delve back in at a later date.I decided to go straight to an all-woman show and dove into Season Of The Bitch and I'm pretty into it. The episode with one of the authors of Revolting Prostitutes is particularly good. Surprise surprise, the crosstalk is near-nonexistent.

I might be more selective going forward and only listen if the guest seems interesting. Never listened to the Antifada podcast. The Katie Halper show is good. https://soundcloud.com/katie-halper

llllllllllllllllllllllll wrote:The Antifada episode with Matt Christman from Chapo that came out recently is stellar.Yeah this was a good one. First Antifada episode I've listened to, will surely add it to the regular rotation. Gramsci wrote:I d like to 2nd Behind the News with Doug Henwood. It may not sound particularly exciting and the podcast image is of a rotund older gentleman but Doug is an excellent interviewer with very high quality guest, with the addition of an excellent musical break.Somehow forgot to subscribe to this after seeing it recommended. I'll give it a listen on my commute tomorrow.

The Chicago Reader's Back Room Deal is a good one. I heard Maya Dukmasova (one of the two main hosts) speak at an event recently she was really well spoken and knowledgable about the mayoral election and all the aldermanic elections (and of course all of the corruption surrounding them). The Democratic machine shit is still totally insane here.
