The duck dinner at SunWah was a regular thing when I lived in Lakewood-Balmoral. It's solid Hong-Kong style. Especially the crispy duck skin with the fresh steamed buns, hoisin and frizzed scallions. The char-sui pork and crispy pork are also quite good and worth ordering before the duck arrives.

I recently had a morbier style cheese made by Pascal Affinage in Oregon, reportedly at OSU. I'm not a fan of traditional morbier, so this was a great alternative to try. It was still pretty funky, but creamier and with less of a "basement floor" cave-y funk, being more herbal.

Rogue Creamery has some really interesting blues. Too interesting to put on a salad or in a burger - much better with bread or water crackers and dried fruit.
You sold me. Also this thread has got me chomping to start playing with water cracker recipes again.
We prefer the term "skinny dipper." Thanks.

To the extent punk culture is "woke," (meaning accepting of a diverse crop of humanity and aware of ingrained bias and privilege) that is absolutely an organic outgrowth of the tumult of so many different kinds of people trying to thread their way through a common conservative, white supremacist, patriarchal culture that held all of us in contempt.

The underground culture is unarguably more open and wild than the conservative, white, patriarchal culture, and it has room especially for the kinds of thought regularly suppressed and punished in that culture. If you're looking for common, conservative, white supremacist, patriarchal thought -- if you feel it is under-represented in the underground -- you'll find it fucking everywhere else, to the extent that it dominates. The point of the underground isn't to coddle people who can't handle it by embracing the common conservative, white supremacist, patriarchal culture that it grew in opposition to. You have Mayberry RFD on reruns or Fox News if you need a different kind of racism. You don't need it in your record collection.

Most of the best bands, labels, fanzines, promoters and other participants used all the non-capitalist tools available to minimize the effect and influence of capitalism on our scene. Collectivism, barter, self-sufficiency, profit-sharing and non-profit basis enterprises were everywhere, and remain there today. I pride myself on running Electrical and the rest of my life in a way that minimizes the intrusion of capitalist hegemony and exploitation. I don't do "deals," I don't bargain, I don't haggle, I don't exploit. Not for money or anything else. It's proven to be a sustainable and equitable way to organize a studio, a band and the rest of my life. That I exist in a capitalist system is not an indictment of my efforts to undue its influence and prevent its harms.

Fucko could know all of this if he hadn't made up his mind before thinking about any of it.

I suspect fucko doesn't do much thinking at all, probably prefers to be spoon fed propaganda that aligns with his prejudices, being the bootlicking serf that he is.

I hope he eventually realizes this.
I never knew my father, or grandfathers, or uncles, and have no brothers - I was raised by a single mother, a grandmother, and an older sister.
My main guiding influences were Females, but they were not Feminists.
Feminism doesn't seem to love Females, just hates Males. Same as BLM doesn't seem to love Blacks, just hates Whites.
They use Women or Blacks to advance an agenda and make money.
Mom got Master Degree and worked for 35 years so we were not poor.
I've been homeless, in jail, dropout so no Uni degrees, never had a regular job, chose an Unconventional life and did fine for myself thru my own determination and good fortune and helpful friends. People of all types and colors do as much every day in the USA.
I'm not personally interested in an "LGBTQ Crowd" - only individual people who I think are cool and get along with.
Some people from there are cool, but they aren't the types to wave Rainbow flags or demand conformity.
My first memories of anything from that culture would be random Men offering me cigarettes - at age 13. Gross.

I wouldn't change anything based on what someone like yourself thinks I should be or do, because you don't know Me.
Hard core.
Sorry for my shitty English

Krakabash is just trying to get a reaction. Don't let him ruin this discussion of cheese.
