Wow, youre right.

I will keep your three golden rules in mind next time I go see a band play
1. Size of venue = quality of music
2. Band has option of soundcheck = must be good band
3. The more people that give a shit about your band= the better the band

hm, i almost 100% agree with malling except that i saw richard buckner play to like 15 people a year ago, the sound was pretty shitty, and the club was completely unknown -- still, one of the best shows i've ever seen. but then again one person doesn't really constitute an entire band so that's an exception to the rule. also bands that are great but opposed to soundchecks, 21+ clubs, tuning their instruments, etc... actually, i guess change 100% agree to like 50% agree in theory.

you're probably right in that i don't play shows or have a band. but i've seen a ton of shows from arenas down to hole in the wall bars and i know that if you're playing a smaller place it's probably not the greatest idea to crank it up. because really, what does it prove? does it make you more masculine? you should have more respect for the people that are there to see you or not to see.

Following the train of thought in this paragraph is a breathtaking experience.

Wow!

A) Ever since I found out that Treats had shows (and I only found this out a couple of days ago), I became obsessed with the idea that my band should do a 6 AM show. But we're probably too loud anyway.

B) Walter, I know it's been said before, but you're a total tool. I'm in a band that does a lot with feedback, and our drummer's a monster, so we cannot turn down, no matter the size of the venue. What would you suggest we do in such a situation?
