You can completely reset your recommended results. It clears your cache and seems to reset the recommendations to things specifically based on what you follow. I’ll be doing that once a month.
I just recently discovered the recommendations reset. I pretty much it do every time I open the app before I start browsing.

Also discovered the feature that limits your daily use and it actually works. I get 30 minutes in a 24 hr period.

Yep, that’s that raw. Rent-seeking on your expectations.

Almost all of the major US automakers do this now, but mostly for features that ride the line between convenience and expectation, like remote start. BMW does do the seat warmer thing though.

It does this by attempting to read the street signs. The feature blows ass so bad. It's wrong like 80% of the time. And I cannot turn off the piece of shit!
Huh - my 2019 base model insight does this with about 80%v accuracy, tho I agree with you overall. I've had cars with the modern features that were more hassle than they were worth. Hands free volume motion control for the stereo on a BMW was silly, obtrusive and worked poorly.
Going to read up on this more.. there is a LONG list of things that Honda says can impact the Traffic Sign Recognition system. Maybe I just live in an area where the local DOT is horrible at making street signs in conformance with street sign standards?

I have now read most of that wiki page and I have to reject the premise. Tinder has gotten me laid plenty. Like a lot of plenty. This is a hoax!
Nothing major here. Just a regular EU cock. I pull it out and there is beans all over my penis. Bean shells all over my penis...

So, does that count as enshittification? Or is is just the natural progress of the overlords not paying people well and expecting wages to be supplemented by consumers?

Unpopular opinion - tipping culture is perfectly fine for several facets of the service industry, and I think that we can strike a balance between tipping your wait staff/service workers vs. a tip screen on the plumbers iPad.

I have that on my 2017 Subaru Outback and I really do like it, mostly because it actually works.

It works better than all their other EyeSight "features", in fact it might be the only one that works. Every single time I leave my house I have to disable the reverse automatic braking because it thinks the slight dip at the end of my driveway is a threat and will violently slam on the brakes. Every time. Doesn't matter how slow I go. All the collision-prevention shit goes off after I've already seen what's happening and hit the brakes myself; so it just beeps and blinks lights on the dash to distract me while I'm trying to concentrate on driving.

This crap runs on cameras that rely on being calibrated with the windshield.....so if you get a crack and need to have the windshield replaced it's over $1,000 instead of a few hundred. I learned this first-hand.....if you have any of this stuff and get a chip in your windshield, get the chip fixed ASAP so it doesn't turn into a bigger crack needing a full replacement.

My assumption is this is all because backup cameras became mandatory in the US....which is fine, a backup camera is practical and useful. But auto manufacturers quickly made that backup cam one big dumb touchscreen, forcing you to look away from the road for any adjustments that could normally be done via tactile controls. Add in a bunch of cameras, R&D and bullshit tech, with all those costs passed onto the consumer.

Other than that, the car parts of my car I like. It runs well, the seats are comfy on long drives. I just want buttons & knobs damn it.

I'd much rather tip my plumber, and he doesn't expect a tip, but especially when he does absolutely nothing. I'm taking about places at which you walk up to a screen and order, and maybe they run the food out to you, but more likely they call your number and you have to go get it. They want a tip before the order even arrives. The food cost is the same as if it were a full service restaurant. Without a FOH staff you could pay your people more.
