the mae-shi are pretty awesome. i traded emails with one of their guys a while back - nice guy and great band. hopefully they'll make it out this way sometime.

iowa city's own Flaccid Trip are pretty cool if y'all are into that noise deal. and pizza.
there is a band called Organ whom also perform under the name Organism. I think they're great. they're touring again soon.
can't forget Will Whitmore, from i.c. of course.
also there is a band called Rickyfitts from Kansas who rule pretty hard.

also another Iowa band to mention, this band Grainbelt out of dubuque. they remind me of wrung era Mule.
also, meth and goats sound nothing like scratch acid or acid mothers temple. no really, they don't.
