So first Elon said 600 was the limit, then he changed his mind and said 800. Then he changed his mind again and said 1000. And now it appears to be no limit? Except it appears every now and then, and then disappears. Once yesterday and twice today I ran into the "retry" prompt and then a short while later it worked as usual again. lol what is going on

Twitter is probably now staffed with only junior and mid-level devs and they can't get anything to work properly.
Not to mention they're probably burning out with 80 hour weeks.

Didn't he put up his entire fortune to buy it and if it fails he's completely fucked?" but it turns out he's worth 5 and a half times what he paid for it so.... welp; I guess he'll just go back to Tesla?
He has no long term plan, and was forced into buying twitter by a court order. He didn't have enough liquid cash to make the purchase by himself so he had to take out loans, with the highest amount of funds coming from the Saudis. So he's basically flailing around trying to cut costs and generate revenue (and not doing very well at it) so that he can pay back the Saudis before they go all bone saw on him.

Yep. The financial writer Matt Levine noticed immediately—as in, as soon as Musk had made an offer, and before he tried to back out of it—that the financing made no sense. Had Musk not changed a single thing about Twitter, he still would’ve struggled to cover the debt service for his buyout. The financing was predicated on a belief that Musk would improve the company’s profitability. Instead, he wrecked it.

Yeah, for a brief moment I thought about rejoining Facebook and/or opening an Instagram account to join Threads..

On second thought, nah, I'm better off without it.

Was intuitively against getting involved w/ it for many years.

New, soul destroying job made me decide to give it a go as a quick brain stimulant.

Enjoying it quite a bit - def a good may of killing 20 mins 2 / 3 times a day.

Political twitter def better than any legacy mags / blogs that I'd gotten bored of over the last few years.

Can see how brutally addictive it can be
