32Fred Durst is probably the worst frontman there was. And the worst lyricist.

33Sure, I'm being unfair to this band I remember disliking in 10th grade. They seemed really overwrought, is all.jason from volo wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 7:45 pmI don’t think I’ve ever seen those two bands grouped together like that.biscuitdough wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 7:16 pm Live and Shudder to Think always rubbed me the wrong way and seemed really pretentious back then, and were unavoidable for a while.
Live is… yuck.
Shudder to Think. I knew nothing of them and then saw them open for Pavement. IMO, they totally blew them off the stage. I now realize that it probably isn’t that hard to do that, but for at least a good 45 minutes I liked that band.
I feel this thread needs more pop punk. There's got to be plenty of worst band candidates among NOFX, Blink-182, etc.

34Guttermouth has got to be one of the absolute worst bands of the Warped Tour scene/era. Derivative, misogynistic, and one dimensional.biscuitdough wrote: Sat Jun 19, 2021 8:10 am I feel this thread needs more pop punk. There's got to be plenty of worst band candidates among NOFX, Blink-182, etc.
There's a less known punk band from my state called The Nobodys who were total garbage. They'd write songs with titles like "I Like Your Tits". If anyone was ever worried about a punk band being bad for an impressionable 13 year old mind, it was those guys. Ugh.

35I saw that 'X French T-shirt' video in 9th grade at a friend's house and we laughed at how terrible and (we were stupid kids in the '90s) flamboyant it all seemed. After getting into Slint and a lot of math rock a few years later, I went back to that album and it became one of my favorites from that era. Don't go back to the video though..biscuitdough wrote:Sure, I'm being unfair to this band I remember disliking in 10th grade. ah yes.. I despised this band even back then, and as you might tell from ^above I was hardly enlightened. They were also just terrible musically.losthighway wrote: Sat Jun 19, 2021 8:43 am There's a less known punk band from my state called The Nobodys who were total garbage. 36How the fuck is this five pages deep with no mention of:
4 Non-Blondes
Crash Test Dummies

37Uhm besides that one song which I don't hate aren't 4 Non Blondes pretty not remembered at all? Worst ever for me has to be something that really sticks in the mind. Maybe it's me being of a different generation.
Same with Nickelback, haven't they been out of the spotlight for the last 15 years?
Anyway, mine is a Swedish band called Gyllene Tider ("golden times"). Roxette guy's first band. Liked by boring hockey-playing teenagers. My impression of them is very connected to my childhood so I don't know if an outsider gets it.
They made an attempt at an international career by recording some of their songs in English. Almost makes them sound worse.

"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

40Any band in that vein is the worst band ever, I don't care which, it gets my +1.biscuitdough wrote: Sat Jun 19, 2021 8:10 am I feel this thread needs more pop punk. There's got to be plenty of worst band candidates among NOFX, Blink-182, etc.
