I always thought of Beck as my generations Bowie. Chameleon, using everything around. The music in every ad on TV has sounded like Beck since like, '93..... that says something. The only 'rapper' I can listen to.

I guess you're right, we do have to reflect what concerns us. I think maybe what bugs me is the stuff like Hostel and Cloverfield. Glorifying the violence.
It just feels like it's gone on so long. It starts to get a bit Twilight Zone-ish.

War is used for entertainment... It's certainly been done before, but we've reached new heights of cynicism to have the war and the entertainment derived from it go on simultanously for so long.
I'm not bashing film makers, they do what they gotta do ...
